Was in the area of Wilshire/ Vermont as many are you know this area is in the heart of KTown. Many of the food places around here don't open till later during the day and not many choices.
I'm so glad I found The Pollo L.A I was so impressed with how clean the business was. I was shocked that they have a breakfast menu with great options.
I will have to come by and try a few items for breakfast. The business is open early in the morning for those early birds that commute.
30 min parking adjacent to Wilshire Bl and Shatto Pl.
I ordered the 1/2 chicken combo with rice and beans. The chicken was amazing tender and juicy not dry.
What I would like to see changed and it's just a recommendation is the portion of the rice and beans very small portion and it could be the to go plastic containers. The chicken portion was just amazing thanks for some great chicken. -

-UPDATE-
I'm so late updating this. The manager reached out after the review and was awesome. 5 stars all around -

Good chicken. Not dry. $10 for half chicken, Comes with rice and beans, tortilla and salsa. Reasonably priced. The guacamole salsa is delicious. Has a bit of garlic taste, although a little too spicy for me. This place is right by the metro stop (Vermont/Wilshire). Not sure where parking is, I usually walk here since it's close to my work.

I LOVE this place. Hidden off of Wilshire and Vermont, it is the perfect lunch of take out spot. The menu is very simple, but they do rotisserie chicken right.
I always get the #1, which is a half chicken with rice, beans and tortillas. The chicken is well marinated and flavorful, right down to the bone. It is juicy and tender to boot. FORK TENDER as a matter of fact. I love the accompanying salsa. The pico de gallo is simple but delicious. The avocado salsa is KILLER. Sooooo addictive and unlike anything I've every tried, and I've eaten A LOT of salsa. The rice and beans don't look too special, but man, they are bomb.
It's a good value considering how much food you get. I have actually eaten the entire meal in one sitting, but usually I get two meals out of it.
Parking totally sucks but you can get lucky with street parking on Vermont or metered parking on Wilshire. -

The chicken tinga plate hits the spot and this place has worked its way into the lunch rotation. The tinga is not as good as guisados but you get a much heartier meal here. The place is clean and lots of tables without being crowded.
